The York DungeonYork 19 milesGruesome HistoryConstantly changing the York Dungeon is a very good attraction. Gory torture chambers and ghoulish ghostly images cleverly done with excellent personal translations by appropriately dressed guides in some sections as you journey through the dungeon. See 
Monk Park FarmBagby 26 milesAnimals & FunPonies to ride, animals to feed, a massive sand pit, loads of picnic tables, an adventure park with a hillside slide to fit three sitting side-by-side and a host of other things. This looks a fun packed day. See for more information.
Sea LifeScarborough 19 milesSea CreaturesLots of tanks with different types of fish to see. There is a feeding stage, an otter sanctuary, a touch pool, a penguin sanctuary, a seal pool, an ocean tunnel, a place where you can pan for gold, a soft play area, a gift shop and a cafe. PlaydaleNr Cayton 19 milesAnimals & Venture PlayThere is a huge indoor play area with ball pool, toy tractors, an adventure trail and more. In the outdoor play area there is a large playground with tent covered slides, climbing frames and tunnel slides. Scarborough Bowls CentreScarborough 19 milesBowlsEight indoor rinks and two outdoor crown greens. I can’t figure out how this attraction keeps going – but the brochure says “Free Entrance, Free Coaching, Free Equipment Hire”. Hey, it must be worth a visit. They also have a bar that serves meals (I think you have to pay for these) and some pool tables. For more information see

Flamingo LandKirby Misperton 5 milesTheme Park& ZooRides are being updated annually, there is always something new and more daring. It is expensive to get in but it is all free once you are inside. Food is also quite expensive so a packed lunch would be advisable. I do not know how good the zoo is but my son returns to the theme park regularly.
SeasideScarborough 19m Filey 20m Bridlington   24mBeachesEach of these has a good sandy beach. Scarborough also has a funfair and miles of sea-front arcades. Parking can be difficult at Scarborough but the train and bus service is good. Previous guests have been to Filey and Bridlington and recommend a visit to both.
