These pictures are of the cottage private garden and decking area. The decking provides the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing meal or drink while watching the wild birds feed and geese bath in the neighbouring paddock.
Since installation in 2006, the garden has matured and now has a pleasing selection of flowering bushes, perennial flowers and a few evergreens. The lawn incorporates a sandpit for children (and ‘youthful’ adults, should they be inclined). A shed, tucked away behind the bushes, contains a gas barbeque, ride on child’s toy, some sand-pit toys, an inflatable paddling pool and child’s chair. Guests are able to access these items as required. Outdoor lighting is obtained from the security light – a flick of a switch converts the light from movement sensory to permanent (switch located in the utility room).
There is off-street parking for two or three cars next to the cottage.
On the opposite side of the cottage is a walled patio area. We designed the wall as a seating area where guests can relax in pleasant surroundings, play out-door games or enjoy a barbecue with friends.
